Hello Doris. I do hope that I have contacted the right person. If so, I just wanted to thank you for being such a hospitable and able guide on behalf of Strabo. I thoroughtly enjoyed a most memorable and informative experience.
I was so sorry to learn of the storm on Schynige, just a few days after we had been there. I do hope you were not affected. If I recall correctly, you were planning to lead a tour for a group of journalists. No doubt, they had much to write about.
I posted my photos from Switzerland on my FB site. If you would like to "friend" me, you are welcome to look at them. You live in a most photogenic part of the world. I do hope that you get to visit New England and/or New York some time.

bei Sonne und Regen, es war immer schön.
Wir wanderten auf vielen sehenswerten und interessanten Pfaden,
am Anfang zwickte es manchmal in unseren Waden.

Durch Deine aufgeschlossene und freundliche Art
fanden wir Dich gleich alle ganz apart.
Und im Nu konnte zwischen der Schweizerin und den Sachsen
eine gute Freundschaft wachsen.

Der Höhepunkt war die Einladung in Dein hübsches Chalet,
was Du mit Deiner Familie geschaffen so peu a peu.
Hast uns so lieb bewirtet mit Speis und Trank -
für alles sagen wir herzlichen Dank.

Für uns waren es wunderschöne Erlebnisse in der Schweiz -
wir schwärmen alle und erzählen es weiter, - es hat seinen Reiz!

Nun kommt leider der Abschied, wir sagen ade -
das Scheiden tut schon a bissel weh.

We have been very fortunate with you guiding us! Both for your personality as the information you provided.
What is also nice is that we shared another activity: photography. I am quite curious how you lead photogroups around. I sometimes do the same. Both abroad as in Holland. If I find a chanche to recommend you in the article I will do it.

Je me réfère à notre merveilleuse semaine de marches dans ta région du 4 au 11 septembre 2010. Au nom de notre groupe de 29 personnes de l'Association de Retraités Nestlé, j'aimerais te remercier pour tout ce que tu nous as apporté durant ces 5 jours de balades. Tu as su nous transmettre ton enthousiasme pour ta région et nous en faire découvrir son histoire, sa faune et sa flore, toujours avec ton beau sourire et ta gaîté, tout cela dans un français délicieux. Ton choix des courses a toujours été bien adapté aux forces de notre groupe. Ton professionnalisme nous a permis de marcher en toute sécurité et aussi de recevoir le bon conseil au bon moment. Ta proposition de nous proposer Pierre Lanz comme second guide a été aussi excellente.
