For me photography means living completely in the present: totally focused on the moment and subject. Living with all your senses!
I’m fascinated by the incredible inspiration and stimulation which nature has ready for us each and every day.
For me, holding my breath, clicking the shutter and capturing the subject as an image are action-packed moments!  

My Work:

During the last two years, (2005/2006) I’ve been busy with local orchids in the Lauterbrunnen Valley. Thanks to the special geographical and topographical features of the valley, which extends from 800m to the high-Alpine glacier foreland at over 2600m, I could hike all the high-Alpine altitudinal belts. Over 22 different types of native orchids grow here. The result was the special 2006 exhibition on the theme of "Orchids and Landscapes in Photography" in the Lauterbrunnen Valley Museum.

My next major work is to make a photographic record of the Lauterbrunnen Valley’s 72 waterfalls. This needs time. Many waterfalls only reveal their beauty for a short time during the snowmelt. Some can only be reached with a 2 - 3 hour hike and are far from any hiking trail. But this is precisely why this project is so challenging and motivating!
